The original William W. Wallwork dealership started in the 1920s. This is the original location in downtown Fargo, North Dakota.
The address was 820 Northern Pacific Avenue. Wallwork was North Dakota's only authorized Shelby dealership.
Wallwork also had a dealership in nearby Moorehead, Minnesota. That location was closed in 1969.
By 1969, a new consolidated, modern dealership was located just outside of town.
The location for the dealership was 4025 West Main Street, Fargo.
The dealership did have a large spacious bodyshop.
Bill Wallwork Jr., was in charge of the dealership. Wallwork sold a total of 23 vintage Shelbys.
I could only find a few 1966 Shelbys sold by the dealership.
Interestingly, at least three of them were "carry-over" cars.
This car is 6S169. It's driven by Christi Edelbrock. This picture was taken from the internet.
In 1967 the dealership sold ten 1967 Shelbys. A lot of Wallwork's business was focused on trucks to support the local economy.
In 1968, the dealership sold eight Shelbys to local residents. Just one 1968 GT350 was sold and that car was # 113.
I know, people always say, "If I knew how much these would be worth, I would have a bought a truckload". $15 for a new 1968 hubcap!
Six of the 1968 models were GT500s. This car is # 1993 representing the majority of 1968s sold.
The only GT500 KR sold by the dealership was a Highland Green fastback. It was number 2267. This car would later
become a SAAC champion and win several of the highest awards possible. It is owned by Rodney Harrold.
Rodney's car is equipped with the original, black side wall tires used on all GT500 KRs.
Rodney sent along the warranty information recorded in his original owner's manual. You can see the Wallwork stamping.
These envelopes were supplied by the dealership. They were intended to keep all your papers together in one place.
The dealership did not sell any 1969 or 1970 models.
The downtown location is stil present, however it has been repurposed into a counter top store. You can see the original, mounting bracket for the Ford sign is still
on the roof.
Compare this to the first picture (above). Picture from the Google. The West main location has been converted into a boat store.
This Wallwork decal was found on the back of a 1968 Country Squire.
I am not sure if they used this emblem on the Shelbys, but it looks period correct.
