Schanzmeyer Ford was located at 801 Southwest Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri. Jefferson City is Missouri's capital.

The dealership was operated by three brothers. Bernard, Pat and Bert (shown above). Pat Schanzmeyer was the president of the dealership.

At one time, Schanzmeyer Ford was Missouri's largest full service Ford dealer. They did not sell many Shelbys. Less that two dozen Shelbys were sold.

This 1968 was one of only a half dozen Shelbys sold that year. It is # 166.

1968 # 344, a GT350 has survived mostly intact.

I believe, # 2393 was the only GT500 KR - 4spd sold by the dealership.

This 1969 advertisement is for the "pop option". Dealers often ordered cars or received special deals on groups of Mustangs. In this case, these cars were equipped with wheel covers, sport mirrors, stripes and a hood scoop.

In 1975, the dealership was sold. It would later become Capital Ford. Today, Joe Machem's Capital Ford operates in the original location.
