The Ford dealership O.Z. Hall was located in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Hall was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was born Ozmyn Pollock Hall. His friends called him "OZ", so he legally changed his name to O.Z. Hall.
These two advertisements appeared in the Birmingham News in 1965. There are two things the Coralsnake always gives extra credit for,
one is putting a picture of your head on a cartoon body!
I will bet you a shiny nickel you have not seen a "War Eagle" special before. That is one super, rare Mustang special edition.
"But, that's not why I came. I came to see the GT40!"
I have seen thousands of Mustang and Shelby ads. This has to be the lowest price I have ever seen for a new car.
You were probably wondering what the other thing you get credit for is? It's including the dog in your vintage picture.
This is a vintage photo of # 3526 . Most of the Shelbys sold by Hall Ford were 1968s and 1969s.
This ad appeared in 1968. 1968 saw an expolsion of Shelby franchises across the country.
As long as we are including vintage pictures, this is car # 3537.
I wanted to include this ad because of the dealership's Mustang club. It was the O-Z or "Circle Z" Mustang Club.
Many dealers formed their own clubs as a means of staying in touch with new Mustang owners.
This is not OZ Hall's showroom, but rather a modern concours event. 2493 would be welcome at either venue.
Most of the 39 cars sold by the dealership were 1968s. # 2525 looks like a fun ride.
Vinny sent along some OZ Hall invoices...thank you !
It seems like the dealership was fond of the Lime Green cars. Here is 3949, a GT500 KR convertible.
If a hard top is more your style, the dealership also sold # 3638.
3638 also retains it's original OZ Hall dealer script below the rear bumper.
Even more incredible is the original invoice for the car!
Representing the dozen 1969s sold by OZ Hall is car # 1213. Oh, that color combo is perfect.
O.Z. Hall closed in the mid 1970's. The dealership had several properties, but the main site was consumed by the expansion of a freeway.
