Robert H Loud - Ford was located at 1365 East Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena California. You may recognize the street by it's other name "Route 66".
Pasadena is adjacent to Los Angeles, California and home of the famous Rose Bowl.

This photograph is from the internet and represent Loud's dealership in 1968. It had previously housed Packard and Buick dealerships. The San Gabriel mountains are visible in the background.

Here is Robert Harlan Loud. This picture is from Robert's high school days. Taken from the Internet.

This advertisement appeared in the Star News May of 1967. Loud would sell 47 Shelbys total, most were 68 and 69s.

I believe that 1967 was the first year Loud was a franchised Shelby dealer.

One of the first 1968s built was car # 22.

If you need information about your car, I highly recommend you contact Vinny Liska at the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC).
This 1968 GT350 had warranty service for a "noisy smog" system. So, we know it was a 4 speed car.

Wes Johnson campaigned his GT500 on the drag strip for many years. The car originally came from Loud.

Here's a newspaper sales ad for a 1968, GT500 convertible that was dark green with a black top.
There was only one at Loud - car # 137 !

The old school pictures alaways tell a story of their own. This is car 549.

1146 started off red, but now it's not. :-)

A proud owner. The car is 1176.

1217 is a red Hertz car that started at Loud and it has a saddle interior.

2794 is one of the cleaner cars around. You should expect nothing less from this climate.

This 1968 Loud advertisement is a standard format used by many dealers.

Its always fun to see the dealer notes inside an original owner's manual.

Acapulco is not too far away for #3065, a proud Loud alumnus.

You wouldn't expect a Sunlit Gold with a serial number like 3166. This car has some custom gold wheels.
Usually a dealer used either plate frames or script on the cars. Loud used a plate frame.
The company that made these frames was in nearby Downey, California.

If Phil Bishop sold your car, here he is back in the day!

Acapulco Blue on a 1969 is stunning. This car is number 85. According to Vinny Liska, Loud sold 20 1969/70 models.

Car number 617 sold new a Loud Ford.

Here is a plate insert from the dealership, but the date is unknown.
The site of the former dealership, has now been torn down and is awaiting redevelopment.
