Kenray Ford was located at 3795 Forest Lane in Dallas, Texas. It was one of two Shelby franchise dealers in Dallas. I found this decal on the back of a GT500 KR.

The dealership was owned by Ken Grantham. Grantham had played college football for the Southern Methodist University Mustangs. He was friends with another former SMU player, Forrest Gregg. Gregg, who would go on to play and coach in the NFL, actual sold cars for Grantham at one time. Ken is shown above with mechanic, Ed Crabtree.

Kenray opened in 1964 and started selling high performance cars around 1968. Their run as a Shelby dealership was short. I can account for about 25 cars total. These were all 1968 and 1969 models. This spec sheet shows the salesman as Vic Lea.

Kenray's first 1968 Shelbys werent sold until half way through the model year. This 2442 a blue, GT500 convertible.

Number 2750 was another Kenray Ford sale. These might be the only two GT500 convertibles sold by the dealership.

This car is number 3033. It was one of five KR fastbacks sold by the dealership that year.

You know what this is...a special paint car. It's number 3770.

Grantham's daughter, Diane, enjoyed driving her new, 1969 Mach 1. It was great publicity for the dealership.

Kenray went out of business in the early 1980s and a shopping area now occupies the original location.
