Susan sent along the story of her car. It is # 1757. Her car is a Highland Green GT500 convertible. It has a black top and interior. It has a 428 ci engine with an automatic transmission.

My husband, Bill, used his reenlistment bonus to purchase the car in August, 1969 from King Ford in Anniston Alabama while stationed at Fort McClellan.

We had it in Germany in 1970 for a year, when we were stationed outside of Frankfort. It was driven across the US several times during the course of Bill's military career.

I fell in love with the car, the first time I drove it. When Bill moved on to a new car, I begged to keep it for my car. I still can not bear to part with it. It was my daily driver until 2000.

My brother, Stephen Capriola, the owner of Steve's Service completed a frame-off restoration. Now I just enjoy driving it and showing it at local car shows.

I was honored when it was Chip Foose's top pick at the American Muscle Car show in Media, PA in 2013. Part of the award was a sketch that he did of the car.

This year American Muscle chose the car to be on their 2016 calendar, photographed with a Lear jet.
